Ann Wilkinson

Associate Attorney

As an accomplished Nevada attorney, Ms. Wilkinson applies her litigation and business experience to help clients navigate their legal matters. As an attorney at Viloria, Oliphant, Oster & Aman L.L.P., Ms. Wilkinson practices primarily in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, business law, and regulatory compliance.

Before joining our firm in 2021, Ms. Wilkinson was a partner in the Reno office of a national civil litigation defense firm where she represented healthcare clients in medical malpractice, licensing and compliance matters. In the private sector, she has also worked as a litigation attorney with a prominent Nevada law firm, served as human resources director for a national non-profit, and held litigation and regulatory counsel positions in the telecommunication and railroad transportation industries.

In addition, Ms. Wilkinson has extensive experience in government and administrative law. As an attorney in the public sector, she served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval where she worked across state agencies on significant energy, natural resources, public works, healthcare, and human services initiatives. Ms. Wilkinson’s administrative law and regulatory experience spans across Nevada at the state and local levels. She has served as the Chair of the Nevada Public Utilities Commission where she presided as an administrative law judge over complex multi-party proceedings, including integrated resource planning to meet Nevada’s energy demands and the NRS Chapter 704B ‘exit’ application filed on behalf of Allegiant Stadium.

As a former Chair of the Nevada Transportation Authority, Ms. Wilkinson led the State’s initial efforts to implement the statutory framework for the operation of ride-share companies in Nevada. Her legal career in government also includes posts as the First Assistant Attorney General to two Nevada Attorneys General – Frankie Sue Del Papa and Brian Sandoval; Civil Chief for the Henderson City Attorney’s Office; a team-lead for the Reno City Attorney’s Office; and Deputy District Attorney for the Civil Division of the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office.

Outside the office, Ms. Wilkinson is active in the northern Nevada community. Not only does she enjoy the scenic trails of the Sierra and attending sporting events, she makes time to volunteer. Ms. Wilkinson is a former member of the Nevada Women’s Fund Board of Directors where she chaired the Fund’s Scholarship/Grants Allocation committee; the Amicus Council for the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges; Advisory Team Chair for Delta Gamma – Eta Iota (University of Nevada); and the Nevada State Medical Board (Public Member). Currently, Ms. Wilkinson is a member of the Washoe County Bar and the Northern Nevada Women Lawyer’s Association.

Ms. Wilkinson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Washington and her law degree from Seattle University. She is a member of the Nevada State Bar and has practiced law as a member of the state bars of Washington and Idaho. At the federal level, Ms. Wilkinson is admitted to the U.S. District Court District of Nevada, U.S. District Court of the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington, U.S District Court District of Idaho, and the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and DC Circuit Courts.
