Mr. Oliphant regularly represents design professionals in complex multi-million dollar construction cases and serves as panel counsel for a large number of insurance companies for construction defect and professional negligence claims. Mr. Oliphant also represents Homeowner Associations in all aspects of common interest community matters and represents the largest HOA in Northern Nevada. Mr. Oliphant’s leadership in development and construction is reflected in the firm’s clients, which make up the who’s who in Northern Nevada’s real property development and design professional industry. Mr. Oliphant has served as a key note speaker and lecturer on a variety of construction law topics for the Builders Association of Northern Nevada, the American Institute of Architects, and the Nevada Association of Land Surveyors.
Mr. Oliphant is a native northern Nevadan and received his bachelor degree in Business Administration with distinction from the University of Nevada. Mr. Oliphant attended law school at the University of Arizona where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Order of the Coif, and served on the Law Review Editorial Board. Mr. Oliphant’s law review Note encouraging the legalization of gaming advertisements was published in the University of Arizona Law Review and has been cited and followed in United States Supreme Court cases and law review articles.
