Samuel I. Figueroa is a Criminal Defense Associate Attorney at Viloria, Oliphant, Oster & Aman L.L.P. He represents individuals accused of DUI, Domestic Battery, Drug Offenses, Sex Offenses and Crimes of Violence. As a former attorney of the Elko County and Washoe County Public Defender Offices, he was responsible for cases that ranged from DUIs to Domestic Battery, including representing clients in bail hearings that consisted of misdemeanors to serious felonies.

Mr. Figueroa was inspired to pursue a legal career advocating for people accused of crimes because his father and uncle were incarcerated for nearly a quarter of their lives for serious violent and drug offenses. Mr. Figueroa performed well academically in law school by making the Dean’s List, receiving a CALI Award in Evidence, and becoming a tutor for law students. Furthermore, he gained practical experience through internships at the Los Angeles Alternate Public Defender’s Office, the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, and the Nevada Attorney General’s Office.

As a Minnesota native, Mr. Figueroa considers Northern Nevada his home. Prior to law school, Mr. Figueroa received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and has a passion for the Church. During his leisure time, he enjoys bodybuilding at the gym and exploring hikes at Lake Tahoe with his friends and family.
