Car Accidents in Nevada
Over the last 10 years, Nevada has experienced a significant increase in road fatalities. In 2019, the state recorded 304 road deaths, up from 257 in 2010. Washoe County, where Reno is located, accounts for more than 10 percent of all traffic accidents in the state. Ongoing statistics show that vehicle collisions are the leading cause of fatalities and major injuries in Nevada. Drunk drivers are involved in nearly half of the reported collisions in the state. It is crucial to be prepared to pursue a full recovery after a crash by working closely with a capable legal team.
While driving, there is always a risk of being injured due to another driver's negligence. Although insurance can help alleviate some of the financial burden caused by a catastrophic auto accident, insurance companies can complicate matters by denying claims or reducing benefits unfairly. In many cases, crash victims need to file a personal injury lawsuit to obtain additional compensation, even if the insurance company provides a seemingly fair settlement.
The likelihood of sustaining serious injuries in a vehicle accident is high, and the resulting losses can quickly become overwhelming. Crash victims often face steep medical bills, lost wages, costly vehicle repairs, and other severe and unmanageable expenses. To ensure that you maximize your claim, it is important to act quickly and pursue legal action to recover these losses.
