Nevada Pedestrian Accidents

It is never totally safe to travel on foot. It is common knowledge that a pedestrian simply cannot withstand the impact of a vehicle collision because there is little protection from the full force of the crash. According to recent accident statistics, in 2020, pedestrians were involved in about 16.8 percent of fatal collisions, and nearly 24.3 percent of pedestrian deaths involved a hit-and-run. Pedestrian deaths rose by over 46.2 percent between 2011 and 2020, compared to a 14.4 percent increase for other types of roadway fatalities in the same period.

If you or a loved one is hurt while crossing the street, it can be disastrous. Since a pedestrian is not properly protected from the force of a collision, the ensuing injuries are often fairly serious. To guarantee that you can heal completely after a pedestrian crash, you must make sure you take all actions available to you under the law. It is well known that serious and even fatal injuries from pedestrian accidents lead to enormous medical bills and other losses that you might not be prepared to pay for on your own.

Just like everyone else in the state, pedestrians have the right to use the road, and you should be able to fight for your legal rights after a collision. If you are wrongfully injured as a pedestrian, you should work with a skilled lawyer who can defend your legal rights and make sure you get a complete and just recovery. This is often the only way to ensure you can make a complete recovery from your injuries and other damages.

You should not be on your own after a serious pedestrian crash. You need a team of skilled lawyers who are prepared to defend your legal rights and make sure you get a full recovery.
