High-Speed Crashes in Nevada

Speeding is a common factor in deadly car accidents, and for good reason. Excessive speeds can increase the impact of a crash while also making vehicle safety mechanisms less effective overall. According to the National Safety Council (NSC), speeding kills an estimated 30 people every single day. There were 11,258 roadway fatalities reported in 2022 caused by speeding drivers, and speeding was a factor in roughly 29 percent of traffic deaths that year. Speed is a serious issue and cause for concern, even if you are not the one breaking the speed limit.

You can never completely prevent a serious crash from taking place. That is because you can’t fully control the actions of other drivers. It only takes a few seconds for your life to be completely changed by a serious crash. Victims often experience intense emotions with coursing adrenaline, and this can lead them to think that they were not seriously hurt in the accident. However, you should still see a trusted doctor after the crash. You need to have a thorough understanding of your situation and the extent of your injuries.

If you do not seek medical treatment, it can be used against you if you later choose to pursue a personal injury claim. Insurance providers are known to do everything in their power to prevent paying out the full value of the claim. These companies have been known to deny legitimate claims for these types of reasons. You need to make sure you have a trained lawyer on your side to ensure your case is handled appropriately and that your legal rights are protected.
