Distracted Driving Accidents in Nevada

Distracted driving has emerged as one of the main factors contributing to catastrophic auto accidents nationwide. Nevada is no exception. Driver attention was a factor in 63 fatal collisions in the state during a recent four-year study, with statistics showing that Clark County has the highest rate of distracted driver crashes in the state. More than half of deadly distracted driving crashes occur in urban areas, and each year, distracted driving results in over 3,000 fatalities and hundreds more serious injuries in the United States. When you are distracted, you will have your eyes off the road nearly 10 percent of the time, and you can travel the entire length of a football field in the time it takes to send a single text while traveling at highway speeds. Unfortunately, despite these known risks, many drivers across the country continue to engage in similar types of reckless behavior behind the wheel, greatly increasing the risk of a sudden crash. After being hurt in a crash, you will likely want to do anything you can to maximize your recovery. It is always in your best interests to go to a trusted healthcare professional to get checked out. This way, you can be sure to understand the full extent of your injuries and how they will impact the rest of your life.
