Reno, NV (February 24, 2024) - On Friday night, February 23, a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a motor vehicle in the Reno area. The deadly accident took place at the corner of S. Virginia Street and Crummer Lane that night at around 6:50 p.m. The victim was traveling on foot at the intersection when they were struck by an oncoming driver.
Emergency responders were dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties and assist at the scene. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim was later pronounced dead.
The identity of the deceased has been withheld. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials. No additional information on the deadly crash is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are handling the ongoing accident investigation.
