Nevada Speeding-Related Car Accidents

Any time you speed, you are greatly increasing your chances of being involved in a car accident. Unfortunately, you can’t really stop another reckless driver from losing control of their car and crashing into you. Speeding is known to greatly increase the risk of a collision while also magnifying the severity of any resulting injuries. Drivers who speed are less able to control their cars and stop in time to avoid hazards on the road. This potentially deadly combination results in more than 10,000 fatalities on the nation’s roadways each year. According to data from the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety (NOTS), nearly 32 percent of Nevada’s roadway fatalities involve speeding drivers. You need to be ready to take legal action if you or someone close to you is hurt in a high-speed collision.
