Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Nevada

Walking is a great way to get around, but pedestrians are greatly exposed to the dangers of the road. There were 387 fatalities reported in 376 pedestrian crashes throughout Nevada from 2014 to 2018. Findings from Zero Fatalities reveal that almost 90 percent of these incidents occurred on urban roadways. Clark County, home to Las Vegas, had the highest number of deadly pedestrian crashes in the state. If someone close to you is killed in a sudden pedestrian accident, you may be able to take action in order to pursue lost compensation.

Pedestrian safety is a serious concern in Nevada. Pedestrians lack the same protections afforded to those traveling in passenger cars, making these types of accidents some of the most severe. The majority of these crashes are caused by negligent motorists who fail to pay attention to their surroundings. The law allows injured parties and their families in the event of a deadly crash to pursue legal action in order to recover lost compensation.

You may feel that nothing will be the same again after a deadly crash. Losing someone close to you is always unsettling, and it can be difficult to put the pieces back together. Those closest to the victim are often left to handle the resulting financial damages, and they will be expected to cover funeral and burial expenses and other losses. This is extremely unfair and unjust. You need to partner with a skilled lawyer who is ready to protect your legal rights and fight to hold the at-fault party accountable for their actions.
