Whitney, NV (January 17, 2024) - On Monday, January 15, a motorcyclist was killed after a two-vehicle collision in the Whitney area. The deadly accident took place at the crossing of Tropicana Avenue and Jimmy Durante Boulevard that afternoon at around 3:15 p.m. Local reports revealed that an RTC bus was headed eastbound as it attempted to make a left turn at the intersection.
A westbound motorcyclist riding a 2012 Honda CBR250R collided with the bus, which was described as a 2019 New Flyer. The bus driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. The rider suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead.
