Las Vegas, NV (March 5, 2024) - On Sunday, March 3, a deadly head-on crash was reported in the Las Vegas area. The collision took place early that morning at the corner of W. Lake Mead Boulevard and N. Decatur Boulevard. Two vehicles reportedly collided head-on at the scene, and one person was killed, while two others were hurt in the collision.
A Toyota Scion was heading west on Lake Mead at a high rate of speed as a Honda Civic was traveling eastbound. The Scion entered oncoming traffic and collided head-on with the oncoming Civic. A passenger in the Honda, a 62-year-old woman, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Both drivers sustained critical injuries and were hospitalized for treatment.
The area was temporarily closed while emergency responders were present. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
