Las Vegas, NV (March 20, 2024) - One person was killed and several others were injured after a crash involving a Rapid Transit Commission (RTC) bus in the Las Vegas area on Tuesday, March 19. The deadly crash was reported that afternoon at around 2:24 p.m. A passenger vehicle and an RTC bus collided at the scene.
Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene. It was revealed that several passengers on board the transit bus required medical aid. The driver of the other car suffered life-threatening injuries, and they were later pronounced dead at the scene by attending medical personnel. Four people on the bus were injured, and two were taken to University Medical Center for treatment.
Later reports revealed that a gold Honda was traveling behind the bus as it slowed nearing a stop. The two vehicles crashed. No further updates on the deadly accident are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local authorities.
