Distracted Driving Accidents in Nevada

Every driver has a duty to pay attention to the road when operating a motor vehicle. Unfortunately, many drivers fail to live up to this basic rule of the road. Distracted driving is one of the leading causes of deadly crashes in the state of New Mexico. According to statistics, distracted drivers caused 424,000 injuries and over 3,100 fatalities nationwide in a recent year. A victim who was not in a motor vehicle was involved in nearly one in five of these deaths. New Mexico has one of the highest rates of crashes caused by distracted motorists, nearly double that of the national average. Drivers who fail to focus on the road and cause a serious crash should be held responsible in the event of a life-changing auto accident.
