Deadly Pedestrian Crashes in Nevada
There is always a chance that a traffic accident can leave you with serious injuries. Sadly, there is an even higher risk of serious injury for pedestrians. The number of pedestrian deaths is increasing across the country. In 2021 alone, more than 8,000 pedestrians in the United States lost their lives while crossing roadways. This suggests that there is an average of one pedestrian fatality every 66 minutes. Approximately one out of every six road fatalities in the country that year involved a pedestrian. It is never easy to handle the aftermath of a fatal crash. You can seek justice by pursuing a strong wrongful death claim with the assistance of an experienced lawyer.
Pedestrians have little protection in an accident. This means that in the event of an accident, pedestrians are more likely to sustain severe or even fatal injuries. The resulting damages and losses can stack up quickly, and families may face a challenging financial situation. In the event of a deadly pedestrian crash, you may be entitled to sue for wrongful death to recover burial and funeral expenses. Wrongful death lawsuits are among the most challenging cases that our personal injury attorneys handle. Families that attempt to manage these cases on their own may run into unanticipated problems and difficulties that they are ill-equipped to deal with, which can impede their ability to obtain a full recovery.
