Las Vegas, NV - Pedestrian Killed by Drunk Driver at Lamb Blvd & Judson Ave

Las Vegas, NV (December 26, 2023) - A pedestrian was killed after being hit by an alleged drunk driver in the Las Vegas area on Sunday, December 24. The fatal accident was reported on Lamb Boulevard between Judson Avenue and Lake Mead Boulevard at around 6:15 p.m. Local reports revealed that a 2023 Tesla Model 3 was traveling northbound in the right lane when the lane changed to right-turn only.

At the same time, a 41-year-old man was crossing Lamb Boulevard on foot. The driver slowed down but hit the pedestrian as they changed lanes to make a left turn. The injured pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, 29-year-old Alexandro Hernandez-Herrera, cooperated with responding officials. Hernandez-Herrera showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. No additional updates have been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
