High-Speed Crashes in Nevada

According to data from the Nevada Department of Transportation, speeding and intoxication are the two primary causes of car accidents in the state. There were 396 people killed on the state’s roadways in 2022, an increase of nearly 2.86 percent from the previous year. Tens of thousands of people are killed annually by speeding drivers across the United States each year, making up more than one-quarter of fatal collisions on average.

You cannot control the actions of other drivers. That means a serious collision can take place at any time. When you find yourself involved in a serious crash, it is important that you take specific actions in order to pursue a personal injury claim. Even if you are not sure you want to seek legal action, you still need to be sure that you make informed decisions if you later find out that you were seriously injured.

The first thing you need to do after a collision is get checked out by a trained medical professional. They will be able to help you understand the severity of your injuries. Your visit to the doctor will also help establish a trail between your injuries and the crash, and this can be used as evidence in a potential claim for compensation. There are many other important steps that must be taken in order to obtain a complete recovery, and you need to partner with a skilled personal injury lawyer in Nevada who is able to help guide you through the legal process.
