Nevada Distracted Driving Crashes

Driver distraction is quickly becoming the leading contributor to car accidents across the country. According to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), there were 324,000 collisions caused by driver distraction in 2020 alone. The largest category of fatal victims in these accidents were from the ages 15 to 20, making up nearly 7 percent of these deaths.

There is only so much that can be done to prevent a serious car accident from taking place. When a driver is doing something such as checking their phone or talking to another passenger, they are at risk of causing a serious collision. You can travel the length of an entire football field in the time it takes to send a single text. This shows just how dangerous it is to take your focus off the road. Unfortunately, far too many drivers in Nevada engage in these types of negligent behaviors behind the wheel on a daily basis.

You may not be sure of what needs to be done in order to pursue a claim following a serious collision. It is important that you partner with an attorney with years of experience handling these types of claims to ensure you are able to make a complete recovery.
