Bicycle Accidents in Nevada

You can ride a bike to travel around and enjoy a beautiful day. Unfortunately, in the event of a major crash, you are very exposed when traveling by bicycle. Every year, there are around 490 bicycle accidents reported in Las Vegas alone, and statistics show that approximately 82.7 percent of bicycle accidents in the state occur in Clark County. The remaining 17.3 percent of bicycle crashes occur in Washoe County, Nye County, and Carson City. Statistics show that approximately 84 percent of bicycle-related fatalities involve men over the age of 20, with almost 75 percent of collisions taking place on urban roads. It can be difficult to get your life back on track following a serious bicycle accident. You need to be aware of your surroundings if you ride a bike in Nevada. Too many drivers in the state fail to look out for riders and cause life-changing accidents in the process. Cyclists are known to suffer life-threatening injuries in a crash, and that means the resulting damages are often much higher than typical accidents.
