Head-on Crashes in Nevada

Unlike other types of traffic accidents, head-on collisions occur when two cars are traveling directly toward one another and collide. These crashes involve severe impacts that have the potential to result in permanent or even fatal injury. Although head-on collisions make up less than 2 percent of reported collisions nationwide, they still cause more than 10 percent of collision deaths annually in the United States. Findings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) have found that the fatality rate in these collisions is close to 56 percent, much higher than other types of accidents.

It can be difficult to recover after a car crash. It is common for victims to be overwhelmed by their injuries and other damages as they try to piece their lives together. Immediately following a crash, you need to get everyone out of harm’s way and determine the severity of any resulting injuries. This is often only possible by going to a trusted doctor for a thorough examination.
