Las Vegas, NV - Pedestrian Dies in DUI Crash at Pecos Rd & Maule Ave

Las Vegas, NV (April 1, 2024) - On Easter Sunday, March 31, a pedestrian was killed following a crash involving an alleged drunk driver in the Las Vegas area. The deadly accident was reported at the corner of S. Pecos Road and E. Maule Avenue late that night at around 8:43 p.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched after being notified of a major pedestrian-vehicle accident.

According to local reports, a 2009 Nissan Versa was headed northbound as a pedestrian was crossing near the intersection. The 35-year-old male pedestrian was hit by the oncoming motor vehicle. The injured party suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Local reports indicated that they believe alcohol may have played a role in the fatal accident. The identity of the deceased victim has been withheld. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in the hands of local law enforcement officials.
