Fatal Motorcycle Accidents in Nevada

Riding a motorcycle is an exhilarating experience, but as any motorcyclist knows, the road is far from safe. During a recent four-year research done in Nevada, motorcycles were involved in 306 traffic deaths, making up roughly 19 percent of the state's fatal crashes. Sadly, fatal motorcycle accidents occur almost daily in the Silver State. Roughly 80 percent of motorcycle crashes result in fatalities or serious injuries, and motorcycle riders are approximately 28 times more likely to die in a crash. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that 84,000 motorcycle injuries and 5,014 motorcycle fatalities happened nationwide in a recent year.

It is a simple act that there is more protection when riding a passenger car than when riding a motorcycle. This means that riders have a very high possibility of sustaining serious injuries in the event of a car accident. Motorcycle riders who are injured in an accident often suffer from mounting medical expenses, missed income, and an ongoing struggle to make ends meet.
