Nevada Distracted Driving Accidents

Every day in the United States, distracted driving results in the deaths of nearly nine people. Numerous drivers act irresponsibly when operating a vehicle in Nevada, and data indicates that approximately 90 percent of recorded car crashes are the result of human error. One of the main factors contributing to catastrophic collisions in the country is distracted driving, which has quickly become a leading contributor to serious crashes. A little over 3,000 people lose their lives to distracted driving every year. A distracted driver will have their eyes off the road nearly 10 percent of the time. Texting while driving is one of the most common offenses, but other simple actions like talking with a passenger, messing with the radio, and using a GPS are also considered distracted driving. You can travel the length of a football field in the time it takes to send a single text when traveling at highway speeds.

Drivers who fail to pay attention to the road and cause life-changing crashes should be held responsible for their actions. This is often only possible when you file a personal injury claim. When you pursue your case, you will need to make sure you have a strong understanding of your legal rights in order to maximize your recovery.
