North Las Vegas, NV - Fatal Motorcycle Crash at NV-573 & Vandenberg Dr

North Las Vegas, NV (February 20, 2024) - On Friday, February 16, a motorcyclist was killed after a collision in North Las Vegas. The deadly accident occurred on NV-573 near Vandenberg Drive early that morning at around 8:45 a.m. Local reports indicated that a woman on a motorcycle was killed after being hit by an oncoming driver.

Local reports indicated that the rider was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition, and she was later pronounced dead on Sunday, February 19. The woman was reportedly hit by a Dodge Challenger driven by 31-year-old Robert McKinney. He attempted to flee the scene but was later apprehended by authorities.

McKinney showed signs of impairment and is currently facing charges including DUI resulting in death, hit-and-run, and other violations. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
