Distracted Driving Accidents in Nevada

In the state of Nevada, distracted driving is one of the main factors contributing to catastrophic collisions. It is not uncommon for those hurt in collisions caused by distracted drivers to not know where to go. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released statistics in 2021 that indicated 3,522 people were killed by distracted drivers in the United States. This represented an increase of about 12.1 percent from the year before and nearly 12.9 percent from 2019. One of the most often mentioned causes of these tragic crashes is cell phone use. The National Safety Council (NSC) found that the percentage of drivers using handheld devices while operating a vehicle rose by a startling 127 percent in just ten years, from 1.5 percent in 2012 to 3.4 percent in 2021.

After a serious automobile accident, a lot is at stake. It can be challenging to fully understand how your injuries will impact your life and what has to be done to fully recover. It does not take long for the aftermath of a catastrophic crash to leave you feeling helpless and defeated. Crash victims frequently experience feelings of loneliness and confusion after being injured by a careless motorist. The insurance company will attempt to take advantage of your condition to persuade you to accept a lowball settlement offer that falls short of adequately compensating for all of your losses. Make sure the attorney representing you is qualified and prepared to defend your legal rights.
