Stephanie K. Funk is a key member of the legal team at Viloria, Oliphant, Oster & Aman L.L.P. As a Reno attorney, she focuses her practice on civil litigation and estate matters, with an emphasis on real property and contract disputes, as well as contested probate and trust matters. Ms. Funk also especially enjoys the planning side of estate work, regardless of whether the client needs a simple last will and testament or a more complicated revocable or irrevocable trust.
Ms. Funk recognizes that whether it is a litigation matter or estate planning matter, the issues of her clients are often personal and emotional. Ms. Funk prides herself on offering thorough and compassionate legal counsel to her clients efficiently and cost-effectively. Additionally, when handling real property related matters, Ms. Funk draws upon her former experience as a full-time licensed real estate agent, which offers her an invaluable perspective to the realtors, property owners, landlords, tenants, and property management companies she represents.
Ms. Funk has successfully prevailed at multiple trials in the Second Judicial District Court, serving as both first and second chair. Ms. Funk has likewise successfully prevailed on multiple appeals to the Nevada Supreme Court.
Ms. Funk is a native of Nevada and a magna cum laude graduate of William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Prior to law school, Ms. Funk received her B.A. in business administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Ms. Funk is proud to be able to give back and serve the community she calls home through involvement in various non-profit organizations. Ms. Funk is a former “big sister” with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada and has been an active member of the Junior League of Reno and Northern Nevada Women Lawyer’s Association for several years. She currently serves as a Board Member for both organizations. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the beauty Northern Nevada has to offer.
