Deadly Motorcycle Accidents in Nevada
Although riding a motorcycle is thrilling, as any rider knows, the roads are far from safe. Motorcycle crashes are involved in nearly 19 percent of traffic fatalities reported in Nevada. Tragically, catastrophic motorcycle accidents happen in the Silver State practically every day. Statistics show that riders are nearly 28 times more likely to be killed in a crash compared to someone traveling in a passenger car. Not only that, but nearly 80 percent of motorcycle crashes end in death or injury. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), there were 5,014 motorcycle fatalities and 84,000 motorcycle injuries nationally in a recent year. It is important that those responsible for deadly crashes are held accountable for their actions. After a deadly crash, surviving family members have the ability to pursue a wrongful death claim in order to pursue lost compensation. These types of cases can be complicated, and it is important that you have a strong understanding of your legal rights if you choose to take legal action following a fatal accident.
