Distracted Driving Crashes in Nevada
It is the responsibility of every motorist to avoid seriously hurting other people and to give the road their whole attention. Sadly, far too many drivers in Nevada operate their vehicles carelessly, and distracted driving is a common factor in serious car crashes nationwide. According to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), distracted drivers killed 3,522 individuals in the United States in 2021. This is a rise of over 12.1 percent from 2020. One of the most often mentioned contributing causes to deadly collisions involving driver distraction is cell phone use. According to data from the National Safety Council (NSC), in just ten years, there was a startling 128 percent rise in the frequency of crashes involving drivers using portable devices.
