Nevada Distracted Driving Accidents
The road can already be a dangerous place. It is made even more hazardous when drivers fail to pay attention to the road as they should. Distracted driving is quickly becoming one of the leading causes of serious crashes across the country, resulting in more than 3,000 deaths and hundreds of thousands of injuries each year. Nevada has its own issue with driver distraction. A recent study from the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety (NOTS) found that 4 percent of the state’s fatal collisions involved distracted motorists. If you or someone close to you is hurt by a reckless driver who failed to pay attention to the road, the at-fault party can be held responsible by pursuing a personal injury claim with the help of a trained Nevada personal injury attorney.
It is difficult to feel completely safe when traveling on or near the road. Nevada drivers are known to engage in reckless behavior behind the wheel, with speeding and drunk driving coming in at the top of a long list. It is important that you are able to do everything possible to maximize your compensation after a serious auto accident. The first thing you should do after getting checked out by a trusted physician is to reach out to a qualified personal injury lawyer. It is often difficult to make a complete recovery on your own after a serious crash.
