High-Speed Collisions in Nevada
Drivers who speed become an active threat to everyone on the road. Speeding can greatly increase the risk of a crash in many ways, and should not come as any surprise that high-speed crashes are a common factor in serious collisions across the country. Speeding makes it harder to control a car and avoid unexpected hazards on the road. When you factor the increased distance needed to stop, this can be a potentially fatal combination. A recent five-year study conducted by the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety (NOTS) found that nearly 32 percent of collisions in the state involve a speeding motorist, contributing to hundreds of deaths statewide.
