Mesquite, NV - Motorcyclist Dies in Collision on I-15

Mesquite, NV (July 25, 2024) – Early on Wednesday, July 25, a woman was killed after a two-vehicle crash in the Mesquite area. The deadly accident took place on Interstate 15 near mile marker 123 early that morning, around 2:41 a.m. Local reports revealed that a motorcycle and an SUV collided at the scene.
It was revealed that a gray 2020 Hyundai Sonata was traveling southbound behind a black Harley Davidson low-rider motorcycle. For unknown reasons, the driver of the Hyundai failed to slow down and crashed into the back of the motorcycle. The impact caused the bike to leave the roadway. The motorcycle came to a stop in the center median, and the SUV rotated before also leaving the road. The rider, 41-year-old Rebecca Lynn Taylor, was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. The driver remained at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the collision. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be provided as it continues.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
