Paradise, NV - Pedestrian Badly Hurt at Flamingo Rd & Nellis Blvd

Paradise, NV - Pedestrian Critically Injured at Flamingo Rd & Nellis Blvd

Paradise, NV (July 26, 2024) - On Thursday, July 25, a pedestrian was critically injured after an auto accident in the Paradise neighborhood of Las Vegas. The crash was reported early that morning around 3:20 a.m. at the corner of Flamingo Road and Nellis Boulevard. Local reports indicated that a 2007 Hummer H3 was traveling north on Nellis behind another vehicle at the time of the impact.

The car ahead reportedly swerved to avoid a pedestrian, but the driver of the Hummer was unable to avoid hitting the victim. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene, and the injured pedestrian, a 45-year-old Las Vegas man, was transported to Sunrise Hospital by ambulance for the treatment of critical injuries. The driver of the Hummer remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials. They showed no signs of intoxication. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be provided as the inquiry continues.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for a full recovery.

Pedestrian Accidents in Nevada

Walking opens up the risk of severe injuries in the event of a crash. Pedestrians are more likely to suffer potentially fatal injuries in an accident because humans are not built to withstand the force of an automobile collision. The majority of deadly pedestrian accidents in Nevada happen in Las Vegas, the state's most popular tourist attraction for visitors from across the globe. There were 53 pedestrian deaths in the city in 2023. The state takes pedestrian safety very seriously, so be ready to make a claim with the help of an experienced attorney if you or a loved one is seriously hurt in an accident.

Pedestrian collisions are known to be disastrous, often resulting in fatal injuries for victims. There is a high likelihood you will suffer injuries that will impact the rest of your life. With so much on your plate, some victims choose to forego pursuing a compensation claim, but that is often a mistake. You have to be ready to defend your legal rights. That is often only possible if you work with a knowledgeable attorney who has helped other injured pedestrians pursue full recoveries. You do not want to be saddled with mounting debt and worsening injuries due to the actions of a reckless driver. Take action to protect your rights.
