When driving, there's always a danger that you can be hurt due to another driver's negligence. Insurance can ease some of the financial strain that a catastrophic auto accident might cause, but insurance companies can make things more difficult by refusing to pay your claim or unfairly reducing your benefits. Crash victims usually need to file a personal injury lawsuit in order to obtain further compensation, even if the insurance company offers them a fair settlement.
