Nevada High-Speed Crashes
Driving too fast can turn what should have been a minor crash into a deadly collision. In Nevada, high-speed collisions are frequent, and speeding is the second most frequent cause of major collisions across the state. In addition to significantly raising the risk of an auto accident, speeding makes it more challenging for drivers to maintain control of their vehicles and respond to unforeseen road hazards. In 2022, there were 396 fatalities in Nevada from speeding drivers, an increase of 2.86 percent from the year before. Approximately one-third of the traffic fatalities during the last 20 years have been linked to speeding. When irresponsible drivers intentionally put other people in danger by breaking traffic laws, an experienced lawyer should help hold them accountable.
There is only so much that can be done to prevent a major collision. Every day, drivers in Nevada drive their cars recklessly.
