Reno, NV (July 14, 2024) – On Friday, July 12, there were reported injuries after a two-vehicle crash in the Reno area. The collision took place at the corner of N. Virginia Street and Vista Rafael Parkway late that night, around 8 p.m. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene after being notified of a motorcycle-vehicle accident.
The injured rider was treated at the scene by attending medical personnel before being transported by ambulance to a local hospital for additional support. The other driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials. It is believed that speed and alcohol played roles in the collision. The area was temporarily closed off while local authorities worked to clear the scene. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
Nevada Motorcycle Accidents in Nevada
Even though riding a motorcycle can be an amazing and thrilling experience, there are always risks involved. A total of 305 recorded deaths in Nevada were caused by 268 motorcycle accidents over a recent four-year period. Over 70 percent of motorcycle accidents in the state were on city streets. Clark County has historically had the highest rate of fatal motorcycle accidents in the state. Motorcycle riders had a death rate from crashes of about 28 times higher than that of non-riders, with fatalities and serious injuries making up nearly 80 percent of all motorcycle crashes. Due to their lack of protection on the road, motorcycle riders are significantly more likely to suffer from long-term injuries and property damage in an accident. This makes working with an attorney to pursue a compensation claim even more important.
It is an unpleasant fact that in the event of a collision, riders have a very high chance of suffering major injuries. Motorcyclists hurt in collisions frequently face rising medical costs, lost wages, and a never-ending battle to make ends meet. To optimize the advantages of your case, make sure you can speak with a competent attorney if you or a loved one is injured in a motorcycle accident. This is often the only way to achieve a full recovery and make sure your legal rights are protected at every stage of your case.
