Car Accidents in Nevada
In Nevada, automobile accidents are the main source of fatalities and severe injuries. Over the past ten years, there has been a substantial increase in the state's fatal auto collision rate. In a recent year, there were 285 recorded fatal car crashes in Nevada, accounting for 304 fatalities and over a thousand injuries. Speeding and intoxicated driving are the main causes of major collisions in the state. Given that inebriated drivers play a role in about half of all collisions in the state, driver intoxication has grown to be a significant problem in recent years.
