Nevada High-Speed Collisions
Nearly anything can result in a major traffic accident, but some are more common their others. Based on statistical data, speeding is a common contributing factor to fatal collisions all around the country. This is a serious issue in Nevada as well. In a recent five-year period, drivers who were speeding were involved in roughly 32 percent of fatal collisions in the state, according to research conducted by the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety (NOTS). Over 10,000 people are killed by speeding drivers in the United States alone each year, and over one-third of all traffic fatalities in the last 20 years have been caused by high-speed collisions.
