Nevada Distracted Driving Crashes
Driving is risky enough. It can be almost deadly when drivers fail to pay attention to the road. The leading factor contributing to fatal auto accidents in the United States is distracted driving. According to statistics, distracted driving results in over 3,000 fatalities and hundreds of thousands of major injuries across the nation each year. Distracted driving is a serious problem here in the state of Nevada. According to a recent five-year study by the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety (NOTS), drivers who are distracted—which can include everything from texting while driving to conversing with a passenger in the backseat—are to blame for about 4 percent of crashes in the state. You are entitled to compensation for any injuries you may have suffered, as well as for your damages, regardless of what caused the accident. A skilled lawyer can support you in making a compelling compensation claim.
Nevada's roadways are notoriously unsafe, and all it takes is one irresponsible driver to create a catastrophic collision that alters your life. In Nevada, reckless driving is common on the state's highways, and most residents have personal experience with someone who has suffered significant injuries in an accident. To maximize your recovery during this trying time, make sure you are aware of your legal rights. You do not have to pursue a personal injury claim alone, even if it may feel almost impossible at times. An experienced auto accident attorney can support you at every stage to strengthen your case and increase your chances of making a full recovery.
