Sparks, NV - Injuries in Rollover Crash at Rock Blvd & Greg St

Sparks, NV (June 12, 2024) - On Tuesday, June 11, there were reported injuries after a collision in the Sparks area. The accident was reported at the intersection of Rock Boulevard and Greg Street that afternoon around 1 p.m. Local reports indicated that a vehicle was leaving the Baldini's Casino parking lot when it collided with another car.

It was later revealed that the driver’s view was blocked due to another motorist turning into the same parking lot. One of the vehicles crashed into a fence and the other rolled.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene to provide the necessary aid, and the area was temporarily closed to outside traffic. The driver was cited for failure to yield, and the injured party was provided aid at the scene by attending medical personnel. No further information on the incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for a full recovery.

Rollover Accidents in Nevada

Sport-utility vehicles and pickup trucks are very top-heavy vehicles and are more likely to roll in the event of a crash. Rollovers are involved in approximately three percent of crashes nationwide annually, but despite not being too common, they still contribute to an estimated 33 percent of fatal collisions across the nation. These types of accidents are even more devastating for unrestrained occupants. Statistics show that roughly 30 percent of crash rollover fatalities were not wearing seat belts when the collision occurred. Every year, thousands of people lose their lives in rollover crashes, so you must be prepared to act if you or a loved one is hurt. This often means working closely with a trained lawyer to pursue a claim for compensation.
