Nevada Distracted Driving Crashes
Distracted driving is one of the primary causes of catastrophic auto accidents in the United States. With 63 recorded driver distraction-related fatalities during a recent four-year period, it continues to be a serious issue in Nevada, as well. The majority of fatal distracted driving crashes occur on city streets, and unsurprisingly, Clark and Washoe counties had the highest percentage of distracted driving collisions in the state. Distracted drivers result in over 3,000 fatalities and hundreds of thousands of serious injuries in the United States each year. Texting while driving has grown tremendously in recent years, mainly due to the widespread use of smartphones. Drivers who fail to pay attention to the road should be held accountable in the event of a major auto accident by filing a personal injury claim with a reputable attorney.
When reckless drivers are on the road, it is hard to always feel completely safe when driving. It only takes one driver to cause a terrible collision that leaves you seriously hurt.
