Nevada Distracted Driving Crashes

Every driver has a duty to pay close attention to the road. This should seem obvious, but unfortunately, far too many drivers in Nevada drive recklessly. Distracted driving is a common factor in significant car accidents around the country. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that 3,522 people were killed by distracted drivers in the United States in 2021. This is an increase of more than 12.1 percent from 2020. Cell phone use is one of the most often cited contributing factors to fatal incidents involving driver distraction. The National Safety Council (NSC) has released data showing a stunning 128 percent increase in the frequency of crashes involving drivers using portable devices in just ten years.
