Deadly Motorcycle Accidents in Nevada
Riding a motorcycle is a beloved pastime in Nevada. But, as every rider knows, sharing the road with another vehicle is far from safe. A recent study that looked back four years in Nevada found that 306 people died in motorbike accidents, making up for nearly 19 percent of all fatal crashes in the state. Sadly, motorcycle crashes often end in death. Almost 80 percent of motorcycle accidents kill or seriously hurt someone, and riders are 26 times more likely to die in an accident than those traveling in a passenger car. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 8,4,000 people were hurt, and 5,014 died on motorcycles in a recent year.
