Nevada Hit-&-Run Accidents

Walking can be dangerous, and if you get hurt in a crash, you could end up with injuries that last the rest of your life. Hit-and-run crashes are terrible and may keep the victim from getting the help they need to heal fully. About five percent of car crashes across the country involve drivers who leave the scene of the accident. A few years ago, there were 285 fatal car accidents in Nevada. About 14 of these accidents were caused by someone who flees the scene. In Las Vegas alone, there were more than 3,000 hit-and-run crashes from 2018 to 2020. There are more and more serious hit-and-runs taking place nationwide each year. If you are going through a tough time, a trained lawyer can help you protect your legal rights.

If you are hit by a driver who fails to remain at the scene, you need to document everything. This could include the license plate number and maybe even a picture of the driver. After the accident, you need to call the police and get an accident report. Authorities might be able to find the driver, in which case you could take action against them. People who have been in major accidents often don't know where to go after the driver has left the scene of the accident. Since the at-fault party is unknown, you probably won't know who will pay for your injuries and any other damages the crash caused. You still have legal rights, and a trained legal team can help you during this time.
