Nevada Pedestrian Accidents

Traveling by foot is a great way to get around. Unfortunately, pedestrians are far from safe when they are traveling on or near major roadways in Nevada. According to the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), there were 376 fatal pedestrian accidents reported in the state from 2014 to 2018, resulting in a total of 387 deaths. Statistics show that almost 90 percent of deadly pedestrian crashes took place in urban areas, with Clark County experiencing the most pedestrian deaths in the state overall. Nearly 24.4 percent of Nevada roadway deaths involve pedestrians on average.

It can be devastating if you or someone close to you is injured as a pedestrian. There is little protection for someone on foot from the full impact of a collision, and this means that the resulting damages are often quite severe. You need to be sure that you take all steps available to you to ensure that you are able to make a full recovery. Pedestrian accidents are known to result in serious and even life-threatening injuries that contribute to astronomical medical bills and other losses that you may not be ready to handle on your own.

Pedestrians have a right to use the road just as anyone else in the state, and you should have your voice heard. You need to partner with a trained attorney who will be able to fight for your legal rights and ensure that you achieve a full and fair recovery if you are unfairly hurt as a pedestrian.

You should never be alone after a catastrophic pedestrian accident. You need a team of trained attorneys who are ready to fight for your legal rights and ensure you can make a full recovery.
