Drunk Driving Crashes in Nevada
Drunk driving is extremely reckless. When drivers are inebriated and hit the road, they are not equipped to control their vehicles. This is a serious problem in Nevada. In fact, the state has one of the highest rates of alcohol-related deaths in the nation. Nearly 30 percent of deadly collisions in the state in 2019 involved a drunk driver, resulting in 92 deaths in total. This is nearly two full percentage points higher than the national average of 28 percent.
It is difficult to share the road with reckless drivers. Many motorists will get behind the wheel after drinking too much, and others will engage in reckless behavior like speeding and driver distraction that puts others on the road in danger. It is unfortunate that you can be involved in a car accident at any time. No one ever plans to be hurt by a reckless driver, but it happens to a lot of people every single day. Car crashes continue to be the leading cause of death and serious injury in Nevada and nationwide.
