Nevada Distracted Driving Crashes
All drivers have a duty to keep their eyes on the road at all times in order to avoid catastrophic collisions. Unfortunately, an increasing number of motorists are acting irresponsibly when operating a vehicle, and distracted driving is fast rising to the top of the list of major collision causes in the country. Distracted driving crashes resulted in 424,000 injuries and over 3,100 fatalities in a recent year. More statistics reveal that at the time of the accident, about one in five of these fatalities involved someone outside of an automobile. You must be prepared to move quickly to safeguard your legal rights if you or a loved one is injured in a major accident.
There is only so much you can do to avoid a serious crash, and the road is a dangerous place. The actions of a careless driver can injure even the safest person behind the wheel. After a collision, you should always get medical attention to make sure you are not seriously hurt. Traumatic events like car crashes cause adrenaline to course through your body, potentially giving you the impression that you were not injured. You might discover later that your injuries were worse than you thought. You essentially give up the ability to pursue further damages if you accept the insurer's settlement offer, and you will be out of luck if you later find out your injuries were worse than you believed. A skilled attorney can assist you in determining the actual value of your case to protect your full compensation.
