Nevada Dirt Bike Crashes
Dirt bikes are popular for recreation in Nevada, and riders of all ages enjoy riding these vehicles. Unfortunately, they leave riders exposed in the event of a collision. Emergency departments across the United States admit roughly 23,800 off-road riders each year. Victims under the age of 16 make up nearly 69.9 percent of these patients, and almost 88.4 percent are male. An overwhelming 97.1 percent of the injured parties were riding a dirt bike at the time of the accident, compared to just 2.9 percent who were hurt as bystanders.
Riding a dirt bike should be a great time for everyone involved. Unfortunately, what would otherwise be an enjoyable activity can quickly become a nightmare in the event of a serious car accident. It can be difficult to recover after a dirt bike accident, and riders are known to suffer serious and potentially life-threatening injuries. Riding a dirt bike near the road is anything but safe, and it is important that reckless drivers are held responsible in the event of a serious crash.
