Deadly Motorcycle Accidents in Nevada
Riding a motorcycle is a feeling like no other, but experienced riders are well aware of the risks of hitting the open road on the back of a bike. In Nevada, statistics show that there were 305 fatalities resulting from 268 deadly motorcycle crashes from 2014 to 2018. Almost 70 percent of these accidents occurred on urban roads. Clark County, home to Las Vegas, had the highest number of fatal motorcycle crashes during that timeframe. Nearly 80 percent of motorcycle accidents end in death or injury.
Motorcycles lack the same protections available in a passenger car. This leaves the rider more exposed to the dangers of the road. Injury cases involving motorcycle crashes are often complex, if only for the reason that they often involve much more severe injuries and more extensive damages. The required medical bills and treatments can quickly become astronomical, and victims are much more likely to suffer fatal injuries.
